SC likely to hear Sushmita Dev’s plea today

Supreme Court is likely to hear Congress MP Sushmita Dev's petition filed against PM Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah over alleged violation of the model code of conduct in their speeches.

Dev has alleged that the Election Commission is restraining itself to act against the BJP leaders.

A bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi said on Monday that it would hear the petition of the Congress leader today.
