Now it is Rupam Goswami versus Shiladitya as the BJP trying to control its MLAs.
As BJP MLA Shiladitya, in his bid to be the undisputed leader of Bengalis in Assam, has been motor mouthing for past few months, putting the Government, Party and more importantly Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in uncomfortable condition, he was asked to fall in line by the BJP.
The BJP Spokesman Rupam Goswami officially reprimanded the controversial BJP MLA who have been consistently giving provocative statement
The latest flash point was when Shiladitya urged Mr Sonowal to be sensitive to the people of the state.
That angered state BJP and it fielded Rupam Goswami to counter him officially sending a signal either fall in line or face the music. But Shiladitya have released that by courting controversy and giving provocative statement, he has been emerging a popular mass leader of the Bengalis of Assam.
Shiladitya has now threatened to resign from MLA ship if Mrinal Hazarika and Jiten Dutta were not arrested for continuous anti Bengali statements.
On the other hand Shiladitya, a veteran of BJP despite his relatively younger age, feels that Rupam Goswami is too junior to reply to him.
