Queen Oja raises flood issue in Parliament

The current sitting MP from Gauhati constituency Queen Oja raised the issue flood and erosion in Assam in the Parliament today and urged the House to finalise sort of permanent solution to this problem.

The current sitting MP from Gauhati constituency Queen Oja raised Assam's flood and erosion issues in the Parliament today and urged the House to finalise sort of permanent solution to these problems.

"I appeal to the government to take the flood and erosion issue seriously and do the needful for the welfare of the flood-affected people." : Oja said.

She also urged the union government to take essential steps on water purification during the flood in the flood-affected areas. Oja addressed the issue in Lok Sabha under rule 377.

Under rule 377 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Lok Sabha, members are allowed to raise matters which are not points of order or which cannot be raised under any other rule.
