Prisoner escapes from Police custody

Inyet another sensational incident, a prisoner on Friday escaped from the custodyof Goalpara police. The prisoner has been identified as Rohit Sangma.

According to reports, the incident took place, when Rohit along with four other prisoners was brought to the GMCH for medical examination. Rohit managed to give slip to the team of Goalpara Police when the policemen stopped at Dewsila daily market for breakfast.

Meanwhile,top officials of Goalpara Police ordered a departmental probe into theincident.
