Prisoner Dies By Suicide Inside Jorhat Jail

A prisoner has reportedly died by suicide at Jorhat Sadar police station inside his lockup late Tuesday.

The prisoner, identified as one Sabir Ansari, took the extreme step inside his lockup after he was arrested for theft yesterday.

It was not immediately known why he committed suicide.
