The AASU (All Assam Students' Union) demonstrates in all district headquarters on March 20 in protest against the appointment scams in the DIPR (Directorate of Information and Public Relations) and the P&RD (Panchayat & Rural Development) department. The students' body is going to announce its next phase of protest after the Holi.
AASU leaders were seen protesting in Bijni, Golaghat and also in Amingaon.
The students' union's message is loud and clear that 'it won't tolerate any mischief on the future of lakhs unemployed and the deprived unemployed should get justice'.
In a statement AASU leaders asserted that in the DIPR under the Chief Minister the results of the written examination were declared on the very day of holding the examination. This, according to the AASU duo, is 100 per cent under doubt. Any judicial inquiry can bring the anomalies to the fore, but the Chief Minister is maintaining a stoic silence on the issue, they said.
