Police has nabbed one ULFA (I) linkman in an alleged case of extortion.
The arrest has been made by the Gorchuk Police and has been identified as Banjit Kalita.
Kalita had been arrested from Arikuchi in Nalbari on Tuesday night.
Reportedly, a businessman had paid an amount of Rs 5 lakh to ULFA (I). The transaction took place at Beltola and the businessman had hid the money in a bag filled with vegetables .
Later, the police had seized Rs 4 lakh 48 thousand from Kalita's residence in Nalbari.
