Around 21.2 percent voters exercised their franchise till 11 AM on Thursday in the second phase of Lok Sabha Elections in the five parliamentary constituencies in Assam.

According to sources, till 11 AM Karimganj recorded 21 percent polling, Silchar 24 percent, Autonomous District 21 percent, Mangaldoi 20 percent and Nowgong 20 percent.

Notably, till 9 AM Karimganj recorded 9 percent polling, Silchar 10 percent, Autonomous District 9 percent, Mangaldoi 10 percent and Nowgong 11 percent polling.

Earlier, polling for the five LS seats began on a peaceful note in all the constituencies in the State.

Polling is being held from 7 AM to 5 PM in the five seats. As many as 50 candidates are in the fray for the second phase of Lok Sabha Elections in the five parliamentary constituencies in Assam.
