Operation Against Illegal Fishing

Even though there is a ban on fishing in the rivers, yet a section of people are illegally fishing in various rivers of the state.

On Friday morning, in an operation carried out in Amingaon area of Guwahati city, Fisheries Development Officer Anisha Sharma and her team caught a few persons who were illegally fishing in the river.

The team has seized the caught fishes and the various fishing items.

It was also known that similar operations will be carried out in various other parts of the region as well.
