Noted Assamese Poet Balavadra Das Passes Away

Noted Assamese poet Balavadra Das also known as ‘Xuhuri Kobi’ passed away on Thursday morning.

The eminent poet was suffering from cancer since the past one year and was undergoing treatment for the same.

Notably, Balavadra Das had gained popularity through his whistling skills.

He had contributed a lot towards Assamese poetry. Das had published two books on collection of poems.
