On Tuesday, NDFB (Anti Talk) strongly condemned the verdict of NIA court.
In the verdict,Two NDFB cadres have been sentenced to death in connection with the NDFB mass killing case of 2014.
Bishnu Narzary and Ajoy Basumutary were awarded death penalty while, two other accused Sanju Bordolwi and Nitul Dwimary have been given a life sentence.
On December 23 2014, cadres of the NDFB a proscribed terrorist organisation had indiscriminately fired upon villagers at Hatijuli Shantipur at Sonitpur in Assam.
B.R Ferrenga General secretary of the NDFB Anti talk faction issued a press statement and said that NDFB has been fighting for the rights of Boro people.
" Since first half of the 19th century the Boro people fought against the British reign to get freedom. After getting independence, the Boro people have been continuously struggling to have permanent political rights and to live with dignify national identity of Boro people in own place. But, the Indian government is ignoring our demands." Ferrenga said.
"With the help of Indian Army, Government has been harassing indiscriminately upon common people to dominate Democratic movement,so the young blooded youth become compulsion to hold arms to retaliate against indiscriminate act" – he added.
NDFB Anti talk reiterated that if the accused NDFB militants get punishment as per the NIA verdict, then Indian Government will be accountable for any untoward incident.
