NHM Assam appoints 700 staff nurses

In a historic move, National Health Mission, Assam (NHM Assam) has recruited seven hundred staff nurses after a walk-in-interview today.

The interview was held in the premises of Directorate of Medical Education at Sixmile in Guwahati.

Huge number of candidates from various parts Assam have gathered the interview venue. This was followed by the interview body of NHM selected 700 eligible candidates among the applicants for the posts of 'staff nurse'.

As per sources, the newly appointed nurses to join in duty from December 3.

Few days ago, NHM, Assam had invited applications for recruiting Staff Nurse in Assam.

As per the advertisement, the newly-appointed nurses will get Rs.16,500/- as salary per month.

NHM had sought applications from interested and eligible candidates through their official website – http://nrhmassam.info.

National Health Mission (NHM) is an initiative undertaken by the government of India to address the health needs of under-served rural areas.

It may be mentioned that the GNM nurses in Assam decided to withdraw their agitation on Friday.

The nurses had demanded to amend the anomalies of the salary structure published in the ROP of the 7th pay commission, revive the designation of the staff nurse, implementation of 'same post same salary' and publishing of service rule of the staff nurse.
