In a bid to end the year on a high, NorthEast United FC will take on FC Goa at the Fatorda Stadium in Goa on Friday. The home side will look to correct their recent run of form, having lost two of the last three games. The Highlanders on the other hand, will try to negotiate the Gaurs safely and go into the winter break with all positivity.
Sergio Lobera's FC Goa currently stand at 5th place with 17 points from 10 outings and have a chance to get inside that Top 4 given they beat the 3rd placed side. In the same way, Eelco Schattorie and his backroom staff are equally aware of the threat that Goa possess in their own backyard. Interestingly, both the sides played their season opener at Guwahati against each other in a 2-2 stalemate.
As far as the fixtures schedule is concerned, NEUFC will be back after nearly a week's break while FC Goa play their second match in a space of four days time.
