NEDA to fight LS election together

The North East Democratic Alliance(NEDA) today announced that it would fight the Lok Sabha elections together and get 22 of the 25 seats.

The NEDA meeting took place last evening at Radisson Blue where top guns of the NEDA met, Amongst them were Chief Ministers of Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya and other leaders Mr Himanta Biswa Sharma and Mr Ranjit Das discussed the forthcoming Lok Sabha n Assembly elections n NDA coordination in North East.

Later in a Facebook post past midnight, BJP leader Ram Madhav announced that decision had arrived that NEDA would fight the poll together.

However later while coming out of the meeting, the NPP leader and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma announced before waiting media that they would contest in all 25 seats.

However, it was apparent that NPP leader Conrad Sangma was tasting the water and would like to expand his footprint in other states despite knowing that he and his party was not a serious player in the Lok Sabha poll.

But Mr Sangma is bargaining hard and may like to keep his candidate and party in the fray till the last moment keeping an eye for post-poll scenario.
