The 21stNorth East Book-Fair at Chandmari AEI Field, organised by the All AssamPublishers and Book Sellers Association, will be inaugurated by Vice PresidentM Venkaiah Naidu on Friday. The inaugural ceremony will be held at 4 PM.
According to the organising committee, there will be 75 publishers and booksellers from all over the country in this year's book-fair, which is scheduled from November 1 to November 12. The committee further informed that over 150 Assamese books will be released during the fair.
The book-fair has been dedicated to the memory of eminent educationist Tabu Ram Taid and the main stage is dedicated to the memory of GL Agarwala and Benu Misra.
