Namsai inArunachal Pradesh has secured first rank in the education sector among a totalof 117 aspirational districts in the country.
ChiefExecutive Officer of NITI Aayog, Amitabh Kant on Saturday conveyed theinformation to the Arunachal Pradesh government through an official letter sentto the chief secretary Satya Gopal.
NITI Aayog,through an official release sent to the Arunachal government said that theranking was based on the incremental progress made in the month of February-March,2019. Furthermore, as per guidelines of this special initiative, Namsai is noweligible for a one-time additional grant of Rs. 3crore in the nature of untiedallocation.
NITI Aayogasked the Namsai district to prepare a plan of action in consultation with theState and Central Prabhari Officers (Namsai) regarding this and send the sameto the NITI Aayog in a prescribed format with their recommendations within afortnight.
The empoweredcommittee of secretaries, constituted for aspirational district programme wouldfurther consider the plan of action for approval.
