"Naga Flag approved but Constitution will need more discussion…" as per sources.

Meanwhile, the Government of India has made a clarification on the Naga settlement issue:

PM Modi will make final announcement of the resolutions of Thursday's meeting when he visits Nagaland to attend Hornbill Fest in December.

Nagas can use their 'flag' in pan-Naga Hohos, sports and special events of the Nagas. Official use of the flag at all government functions, office premises, buildings will be discussed later officially later during the political process, sources added.

With Thursday being the 'deadline' to reach an agreeable solution for talks between the Indian government and armed rebel Naga leaders, there has been no official confirmation on whether the talks could be extended, and if any agreement has been reached among all parties involved.

The issue of a separate flag and constitution for the Nagas has become the main contention between the two sides with the NSCN-IM strongly pressing for it.

It's reported that it has become very crucial for the NSCN on their demands and India is also taking it very seriously on the matter to have further discussion in the next round of talk today.
