The mortal remains of the 13 people on-board the Indian Air Force An-32 transport Aircraft, which crashed after it went missing on June 03, have been recovered from the crash site at Siang district in Arunachal Pradesh.

After a massive search operation by a team of 19 trekkers including the Garud commandos and Special Forces of the Army, which started last week on Wednesday.

The search operation started a day after the wreckage was spotted in the mountains at a height of around 12,000 feet. However, the mission was affected due to inclement weather. Helicopters including Mi17, Cheetah were unable to reach the site at first.

As per sources, the mortal remains are likely to be taken to Assam's Jorhat first and follow up action will be taken after that.

The black box has suffered damage during the crash which may lead the IAF to take more time in investigating the cause of the accident.
