The Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) will celebrate the 'Raas festival' of Majuli and Nalbari in the international level this time, said Chairman of ATDC Jayanta Malla Baruah.
The Raas festival of Majuli will be held from November 11- 15 while that in Nalbari, will be held from November 12-24.
The Chairman said that the ATDC has specially emphasized on both theplace for the tourists' attraction. This time, ATDC has campaigned for Majuliand Nalbari Raas festival outside the state so that it could spread in theinternational level.
Baruah said that the tourism department has made a special arrangement of the tent in Majuli as there is no hotel in the area. The transport department will provide bus service from Guwahati, Dibrugarh, and Lakhimpur to Majuli for tourists and the special package has also been arranged by the tourism department.
The Chairman also informed that tourists will be able to book onlinefrom October 15 and they will be able to go to Kaziranga and Majuli viaNimatighat at Rs. 6000.
The same will be implemented at Nalbari as well and the package willinclude Air Condition bus service from Guwahati to Nalbari and the visitorswill be able to take tickets of theatre shows in Nalbari through the package.
Baruah further stated that if anyone wants to go to Pathsala Raas from Nalbari then the ATDC will provide special arrangements.
The Chairman also talks about Brahmaputra Puskaran to be held fromNovember 5 to November 16 and that around 2 lakh visitors from South India willvisit the Puskaran mela.
