Expressing his satisfaction over the recent form of team India, Skipper Virat Kohli said that he is quite happy with the batting order of the Indian team. Kohli seemed quite confident ahead of the Sunday One Day International (ODI) against West Indies in a pre match press conference at Barsapara Stadium on Saturday. He also expressed his happiness over the recent form of Ambati Rayudu. The in-form Rayudu is expected to bat in the fourth position, said Kohli.
West Indies captain Jason Holder also addressed the press conference and said that new players would get chance in the first ODI of the five match series. The main focus of the Windies would be their batting. Except a few, the team comprises of new faces. He also said it is always a challenge to face India in its home soil. He said that the Guwahati pitch should be helpful for the bowlers if they keep the line and length intact.
Earlier of Saturday, Indian team lead by Captain Kohli was seen having hardcore practice sessions on ahead of the ODI blockbuster against Windies on Sunday.
The first match of the five match series between India and west indies will be played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium officialy named Dr Bhupen Hazarika Cricket Stadium a.k.a Assam Cricket Association Stadium.
The final playing 11 of team India is : Virat Kohli (c) Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Rishabh Pant, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk) , Rabindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Umesh yadav and Mohammed Shami.
Khaleel Ahmed is included as 12th man in the match.
