Cross-Border Drug Trafficking Foiled; 55 Boxes of Heroin Seized in Karimganj

Based on specific input, an anti narcotics operation was launched at Chargola area under Karimganj Police Station on Saturday.

A vehicle bearing registration number MZ 04 A 4827 was intercepted and led to recovery of 55 soap boxes of Heroin (Total weight = 700 approx) from the secret chambers of the vehicle.

One person namely Christopher Zochhuana, son of Brian Clinton Dawson, village- Tlangsam Police Station under the Champhai district was apprehended.

Legal action initiated.
