An ISIS threat in Bangla doing the round in the Internet has alerted the intelligence communities across the boundary in North East as well as in neighbouring Bangladesh.
The intelligence communities are in unison that after Europe became very hard to access due to increase vigilance, the ISIS would like to be more active in non-traditional strongholds like Syria.
As a result, Asia and Africa will be the main target, and Sri Lanka's attack is an indication to that.
Meanwhile top Bangladesh intelligence officials say they have interacted with their Indian counterparts and decided to sound a nationwide alert over the poster in Bengali that says 'Shigroi Asche Inshallah' (God, willing, coming soon).
It has the logo of an unknown group Al Mursalat, which could well be the Arabic code for Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) which carried out the deadly attack on Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka three years ago.
That this threat of action is in Bengali has been interpreted by Bangladesh intelligence as a prelude to possible suicide attacks in Bangladesh and in east and Northeast India, where the neo-JMB (formed after reorganisation following death or arrest of most of its leaders in Bangladesh in a police crackdown after the Holey Artisan attack) is active.
For the IS and the neo-JMB, India is an 'oppressor Hindu state' while Bangladesh, though a Muslim majority country, is run by a 'Murtad' (apostate) regime, which is how it belittles the Sheikh Hasina government that runs on secular principles.
Meanwhile, Naga rebel outfit National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-IM) has said that it is ready to protect its people if Islamic State (IS) carry out the terror attack in Nagaland.
After the serial bomb blasts in Sri Lanka, the group has sounded an alert on its' arms wing 'Naga Army' and their intelligence.
Executive member of the steering committee of NSCN (IM) V Horam said the outfit is ready to defeat the Islamist terrorist organisation.
