Illicit liquor transported from Arunachal Pradesh seized at Kaliabor

The Excise Department of Kaliabor sub-division conducted an operation at Kaliabor on Tuesday night and seized a truck loaded with illicit liquor. The truck was coming from Arunachal Pradesh, officials informed.

The truck (Registration number: NL 03 A 6111), seized near Satiyal Fuel Station, was transporting the liquor from Holongi in Arunachal Pradesh to Assam.

The operation was jointly carried out by Excise Department officials and the Police.

Driver of the truck and his helper have been arrested. Interrogation is being conducted by the Police.
