Board exam put Hima off track: Coach

Hima's main rival in her pet 400m event is from Bahrain and with the current form both are showing the Bahraini girl is way ahead.

This is noteworthy that n the 400m , Hima clocked 51.46 at the IAAF World Under-20 Athletics Championships but she clocked 51.13 in the Sr. National held at Guwahati, which was incidentally her best. On the other hand Bahrain's Salwa is clocking 49.08 sec and that is almost 2 seconds ahead of Hima.

Bahrain's Salwa Eid Naser, is a Bahraini track and field sprinter who specializes in the 400 meters. She was the gold medalist at the 2015 World Youth Championships in Athletics and the 2015 Military World Games and won the silver medal at the 2017 World Championships.

She holds a personal best of 49.08 seconds, set July 2018 at the Monaco Diamond league which became a new Asian record surpassing Ma Yuqin's record that had lasted almost 25 years.

Unless something miracle happens Salwa is the clear favourite to win the gold in 400m. Now Hima will have a podium finish or noth shall depends on how much Chinese athletes have advances in this event.

China historically maintains complete secrecy before unleashing powerful runner at the Asiad before the final assault at Tokyo Games.
