State minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today tried to amend or mend (one's) fences with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he met or called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) delegation including KAAC Chief Executive Member Tuliram Ronghang, Diphu LS ticket aspirant Haren Sing Bey.
Although it has been billed as a Karbi call but the political observers feel that after the snapping of Himanta Biswa Sarma by the central election committee of the BJP disciplining, Sharma piggybacked Tuliram to approach the Prime Minister and see the possibility of him being given ticket to Tezpur constituency.
Today met Hon PM Shri @narendramodi at his residence along with delegation of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council. They acknowledged & praised PM for his huge contributions in development of NorthEast & gave their wishes for upcoming #LokSabhaElections2019 #AbkiBaarPhirModiSarkar

After coming out from the Prime Minister's office when he met the reporters he avoided any direct answer only said no comment. The BJP high command had forbidden Dr Sharma from contesting the election and give him the responsibility of running the election affairs in the Northeast India.
Reportedly, the delegation had submitted a memorandum demanding an autonomous state by merging Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao, if BJP comes to power.
"PM has taken the issue seriously, and they will fulfill our demand, if voted to power"- Ronghang said after the meet.
He also added that lotus will bloom in Diphu this Lok Sabha Election.
