Hatigaon High School reeling under artificial floods

12 hours have passed since the heavy downpour floodeddifferent locations in Guwahati on Monday, but the Hatigaon High School isstill reeling under artificial floods. Classes have been interrupted on Tuesdaydue to water logging in the school.

"It is known that Hatigaon High School submerges underwater after 2-3 hours of continuous rains. This is hampering our reputation,"said a teacher of the school.

It may be mentioned here that heavy rains submerged Christianbasti, Zoo-Road, Wireless, Survey and Hatigaon areas of the city. Water had been seen heavily flowing over the streets of Guwahati finding no other outlet on Monday.

It has become a recurring phenomenon of the city causing hindrance in commutation for public and private transport system.
