A dead body of a woman was found in Lala bazaar of Hailakandi on Monday.
The body was found lying behind Tripti hotel in the vicinity of the bazaar. She is suspected to have been raped and murdered.
The victim has not been identified yet. Police have arrived on the spot and investigation is underway.
