Guwahati will host the first T20Imatch between India and Sri Lanka in 2020's Sri Lanka's Tour of India. As perthe schedule released by the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) on Wednesday,the match will be held on 5 January, 2020 at the Barsapara in the city.
The following matches in theseries will be held in Indore and Pune on January 7 and January 10respectively.
It may be mentioned here that inthe wake of Zimbabwe's suspension by ICC, the BCCI invited Sri Lanka toparticipate in the three-match series. Sri Lanka Cricket has confirmed theirparticipation.
The Barsapara stadium in Guwahatimade its international debut on October 10, 2017 by playing host to the 2ndT20I between India and Australia, where Australia beat India by 8 wickets (with27 balls remaining).
