The Guwahati based Employee rewards and recognition platform Vantage Circle bagged USD 20 million contracts (around Rs 137 crore) from one of the largest US enterprises, making it biggest ever single deal by any Assam based company.
The winning of the contract marks the entry of VantageCircle into North America, the company said in a release without disclosingdetails.
Founded by two school friends Anjan Pathak and Partha Neog in 2011, the start-up provided Cloud-based employee benefits and engagement platform for corporate.
As an employee benefits platform, Vantage Circle creates awards that are conferred on employees for various career accomplishments.
"We took three months to close this deal, which isquite less in the enterprise selling context. We believe the reason is theinnovativeness of our product and the ability of our team to be able to deploythe solution in three weeks' time," Vantage Circle CEO Partha Neog said.
"We are now looking to go global in an aggressive waystarting off with the US. With our unique combination of the product suite,covering the entire gamut of employee engagement and great pricing, we feel wehave a very good competitive advantage," Neog said.

Anjan Pathak and Partha Neog are friends from school whowanted to start a company of their own. In 2010, while discussing startupideas, the space of discount sites which were mushrooming then, interestedthem. They decided to start Vantage Circle to cater to the corporate sector,wanting to create a niche, as there were many other players in this spacecatering to a general audience.
Vantage Circle is a one-stop-shop for employee engagement programmes. From shopping benefits to childcare programmes, corporates can avail a wide range of employee benefit programmes and employee engagement activities. Vantage Circle's module includes Vantage Global Rewards, Vantage Social Recognition, Vantage Deals, Vantage Fit for employee health and wellness, and Vantage Pulse for employee sentiment analysis.
Vantage Circle is a rather peculiar company. With 90 per cent of its workforce based out of the scenic river town of Guwahati, the seven-year-old startup has kept its operations away from India's usual startup hubs of Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi.
The startup claims to be one of India's largest employeeengagement platform, with more than a million corporate employees. VantageCircle manages corporate benefits solutions for some of the biggest corporatesin India including Accenture, Capgemini, Deloitte, Cognizant, EXL, GE, HCL,Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Wipro among others.
