Fed up with govt, villagers construct embankment along Kapili

TheKapili River in Kamargaon under Nagaon's Jamunamukh LAC has turned fierceposing a threat to the villagers. The dangerous situation has forced the peopleof the village to build an embankment all by themselves without waiting fortheir representation or the state government.

The villagers have alleged that although Rs. 18 lakh 30 thousand had been allotted for the construction, but all the money has been stuffed in the pockets of the contractor.

Findingno other way, the people having taken tools to construct the embankment intheir hands, sloganeered – BJP government murdabad, Sarbananda Sonowalmurdabad, Keshab Mahanta murdabad and Himanta Biswa Sarma murdabad.
