Fani over, rain continues over Assam

The treat of Fani is over and rain has continued to lash allover the North eastern region but life is slowly limping back to normalcy inAssam.

After a daylong rain and power cut till mid night, thismorning the Guwahati city has started resuming its life although low lyingareas of the city are still under water but the things are improving with continuouspumping of water.

The public transport, which was thrown out of gear have resumed  this morning and the shops and businessestablishments have opened.

Last night it became a major chaos in the city  as main arterial road came under water. The railwayhave also resumed its operation and flight services are expected to be back to normal by this evening.

In Assam damage have been so far minimal.
