Eight year old girl, Jahnavi Kiran Kalita from Bajali district donated her birthday expenses to the CM Relief Fund.

A student of Class 2 Anundoram Barooah Academy in Pathsala, Jahnavi donated the expense that was supposed to be spent on her birthday to help the state fight for Covid-19.

On the occasion of her eighth birthday, Jahnavi also planted a neem sapling outside the Pathsala Civil Hospital gate.

Jahnavi along with her elder sister Drisha Kiran Kalita, a student of class X, came up with the idea of donating the birthday celebration expenses to the CM Relief Fund.

This noble gesture of Jahnavi is being applauded by people all over the state. Jahnavi is the younger daughter of Nava Kanta Kalita and Seema Kalita, residents of Barbhaluki village in Bajali district.

Jahnavi said, "Although the amount is little, it may be used to procure COVID-19 vaccine and save life of someone.
