Notably Assam has seen an alarming increase in the COVID-19 cases with the highest number of cases in Guwahati.
In order to prevent any further spread of the disease, the district administration of Kamrup (M) imposed two weeks lockdown in the district which is likely to be extended for another two weeks.
Meanwhile, the other districts have restricted movement of vehicles and the public from Guwahati so that the virus couldn't spread to other places.
