Cyclothon is set to organise cycle rallies across the country in eight locations – Guwahati, Chandubi, Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Goa and Shillong – in a bid to keep the momentum of the fight for justice intact.

Not only Abhijeet and Nilotpal, the organisers have also sought justice for Jhankar Saikia, who had been mercilessly beaten up by a mob at Diphu in 2013.

The Cyclothon Guwahati edition is scheduled to start at 7:30 am on July 08. The cycle rally starting from Dighalipukhuri, and via Nehru stadium, GS Road, Six mile, will end at Shilpagram.

A day-long event has been organised at Shilpagram after the rally is over, to vent out the grief in a peaceful, creative manner in the form of music, art, poetry, street plays and various other medium.

Artists from across the Northeastern region shall come together to be a part of the event. Bands including Imphal Talkies from Manipur and Ambush from Karbi Anglong will perform during the event.

The organisers are hopeful that the event will be a platform of prayers through creativity.

It may be mentioned here the event is voluntary and the organisers have urged everyone to participate and pay their tributes to the deceased.

During the event, the organisers shall also inform those present about the developments in the case.
