A Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Jawan on Wednesday has tested positive for coronavirus infection at Mankachar of South Salmara-Mankachar district in Assam.
SSB Jawan Sujit Mahanta was stationed at Tumni SSB camp and was tested positive after undergoing a rapid antigen test.
So far, rapid antigen tests have been conducted on 871 persons out of which three have been detected positive.
46 have been tested positive and 42 have recovered. The rest four active cases are undergoing treatment at Hathsingimari Civil Hospital.
