In a sensational incident, locals have recovered the bodies of a young couple after they were found hanging from a tree at Teok Tea Estate under Jorhat district. The bodies of the deceased, Kamal Bhumij and Subhadra Rajkhowa were recovered on Monday morning.
Police were informed by the locals after the bodies were found. Police filed an unnatural death case and sent the bodies for autopsies.
Locals suspected the couple committed suicide after their families refused to accept their love affair.
