In a joint operation launched against country liquor by excise department and Mikirbheta police at Morigaon, a huge amount of liquor has been destroyed.
Policesaid that around 300 liters of country liquor prepared from prohibited molasseshas been destroyed and apprehended five persons in connection to it.
The persons have been identified as Bharat Chandra Nath, Goman Bora, Rupam Bordoloi, Pankaj Bordoloi, and Soneswar Bordoloi.
Theoperation was launched at Tangunmara, Palahguri and Niz Charaibahi area inMorigaon.
On the other hand, Kamrup (M) police Superintendent and deputy superintendent along with the excise department have destroyed a huge amount of country liquor at Basistha.
Policearrested three persons and destroyed 15 liquor dens in the area.
