The Cotton University has finally decided to make it mandatory for its higher secondary students to wear uniform from the next academic session starting in August.
As per the new dress code, girls will wear blue striped kurta with the university logo on the left upper arm teamed with a pair of deep blue trousers and black shoes. While for the boys, it is a blue striped shirt teamed with deep blue trousers and black shoes. However, girls will be allowed to wear the same uniform specified for the boys.
The varsity, in its notification, has mentioned that the students may optionally wear formal traditional dresses in lieu of their regular uniforms on odd-numbered Saturdays of every month. The varsity has specified that waist belt and shoes to be worn by students must be black in colour. The uniforms will be available at the 'Raju Dresses' located in Ganeshguri area of the city.
The average cost of a uniform would be somewhere between Rs 1100-1200.
