Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal met BJP President Amit Shah at BJP Headquarters in New Delhi on Saturday. Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Ranjit Das were also present at the meeting.
According to reports, the 2019 elections were one of the topics of discussion at the meeting. Amit Shah has urged the Assam BJP leaders to strengthen the party from the booth level.
The party and government's cooperation were also discussed at the meeting along with issues related to NRC.
During the meeting it was decided that State Executive meeting will be held in majuli from October 10 to October 11, which will be attended by Amit Shah.
