The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU), which had spearheaded movement against illegal immigrants in the state would soon start its second phase of 'Operation Clean Drive'.
AAPSU launched its 'Operation Clean Drive' on August 17 last across the state against illegal immigrants after recent publication of the final draft of NRC (National Register of Citizens) in Assam. It was suspended on Sunday last.
The two-day operation saw detection of over 2205 ILP violators throughout Arunachal Pradesh. AAPSU enjoyed full supports from administration in their drive against ILP violators.
AAPSU ILP Issue Committee chairman Tatung Taga informed that the apex students' body would "soon" launch second phase of 'Operation Clean Drive' across the state.
"There are no proper maintenance of entry and exit of outsiders coming to the state," said Taga.
Taga added that OCD will continue for the greater interest of indigenous people of state and students' body this will ensure that those violators who have been deported out of state are not allowed to sneak into the state without valid documents.
Taga asked the remaining ILP violators to immediately leave the state before the next phase of OCD to avoid inconvenience.
AAPSU's OCD leads exodus of large number of migrant workers from the state to bordering districts of Assam.
