Garga Chatterjee, an Assistant Professor, Bengali nationalist and Trinamool Congress (TMC) stooge known for his raving views on Twitter has angered people across Assam this time.
In this connection, a First Information Report (FIR) was lodged against the TMC troll by the Tai Ahom Yuva Parishad for his objectionable comments against the founder of Ahom kingdom, Chaolung Sukaphaa. In order to criticise the Bharatiya Janata Party in Assam, Chatterjee had termed the founder of the Ahom dynasty, Sukaphaa, to that of a 'Chinese invader'.
The Tai Ahom youth wing registered a complaint at the KamrupMetropolitan demanding for the immediate arrest of Chatterjee and severepunishment. Such outrageous remarks made by him or any outsider against theAssamese community will not be tolerated, asserted the organization.
In this connection, the organization thanked Assam ChiefMinister Sarbananda Sonowal for directing the Assam Police to arrest the Kolkata-basedpolitical commentator for allegedly making objectionable comments and bring himto Assam immediately. Sonowal said that Sukapha was the architect of thegreater Assamese identity and making derogatory statements about him could notbe tolerated.
