Assam police will finally file a 1000 page charge sheet on Saturday in the Dokmoka lynching incident that shocked the State and the nation.
Almost after 75 days of the incident in Karbi Anglong's Dokmoka, where two Guwahati based youths were mercilessly lynched to death by a group of around 200 people on the night of June 8, the police will be filing the charge sheet in the Diphu court.
Nilotpal Das, a sound engineer by profession, and Abhijeet Nath, a businessman, were brutally thrashed to death by the unapologetic mob even after the two kept pleading their innocence.
The police have arrested a total of 48 people till now in connection with the case.
Unfortunately, they were mistaken for child traffickers after a WhatsApp message in Karbi Anglong and nearby areas went viral warning people to be aware of kidnappers and child traffickers as they fell prey to the new trend of promoting fake news through social media platforms.
