In thewake of one of the worst deluges in Assam, Barpeta Xatra's Burha XatriyaBasistha Sarma has donated an amount of Rupees 50 thousand for the flood affectedto the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
Sarma cameforth and handed over the cheque to its DC.
The BurhaXatriya donated the amount from his monthly pension.
Earlier, manyfrom the region and outside the region have come forward in aid of the floodvictims of the state.
