Two boys were rescued from Duliajan railway station early on Tuesday morning.
The duo, whose mother is dead, was left behind in the station by their father.
The duo was first spotted by a lady who had gone to the Panchayat Office located near the Duliajan railway station where she saw the two boys crying.
When asked, they told the lady that there mother was dead and their father used to beat them regularly and had left them behind at the station.
The lady then informed the police about the boys.
The police arrived and rescued them.
Upon investigation it was known that the two children are from Dimapur.
The children are now in the custody of Dibrugarh unit of Child Line.
