Bomb hoax at Guwahati Railway station

TheAssam Police along with Government Railway Police (GRP) on Thursday launched athorough checking at the platform No 7 in Guwahati Railway station. The checkingwas launched after bomb threats were reported.

Accordingto reports, two polythene bags were recovered from an abandoned space of theplatform that triggered a panic among the passengers. After receivinginformation, police immediately rushed to the spot with a team of bomb squad.

However,police later confirmed that there no explosives inside those bags. They sentthe samples to laboratory for testing.
