The BJP is going to do a "Congress" in Upper Assam's tea garden belt by distributing free liquor to the tea garden labourers and a huge quantity has been kept in stock to release it on the night before polling, alleged APCC Vice President Bhagirath Karan.
What Mr Karan did not say the trick of liquor distribution was picked up by the BJP from the Congres, which made this craft to a precision level by over the last 50 years till 2016 when BJP did the Congress inside the tea gardens.
Attacking the BJP, Karan also alleged that the saffron party has stored a huge amount of foreign liquor to distribute among the tea-garden workers during the election. He also said that the government has not done anything regarding the minimum wage of the tea-garden workers.
He further said that the tea-tribe community has always played a vital role in the elections, but they have been deprived of their due by the BJP government.
His words should not have many takers because Congress exploited the tea garden labour most as it generated dozens of top leaders from PAban Singh Ghatowar, Rameshwar Dhanowar to Rupjyoti Kurmi but never the tea labour cause was the top priority.
