BJP leader’s house set ablaze in Lahorighat

In asensational incident, a local BJP leader's house was set on fire in Lahorighatarea under Morigaon district on Wednesday night. The fire was doused by thelocals before it could spread to nearby houses.

The BJPleader identified as Shankar Basumatary alleged that Morigaon district AASUleader Abhijit Brahma alias Rana has set the former's house on fire. However, therewas no casualty reported so far.

Meanwhile,Basumatary has lodged a complaint against the attack and police recovered threebottles of petrol from the site.
