Bishnu Idol And Tusk Recovered In Golaghat

In a successful operation launched by the Golaghat Police, a Bishnu idol and one elephant tusk were recovered on Saturday.

The recovery was made in an operation carried out by the Golaghat Police in the residence of one Bulu Saikia of Merapani's Matikhola area.

In the operation, Bulu Saikia was also arrested by the police.

Police suspect that a massive smuggling racket is currently operational in the district.

The Bishnu idol and the elephant tusk are kept in police custody and the case is further investigated.
