Assam Health Minister Keshav Mahanta on Wednesday stated that the vaccination process will be completed by August 15 in the state. The statement has been made by the Health Minister while addressing the covid situation in Kaziranga.
Mahanta informed that the Covid vaccines will be available in the state from June 21. He further added that by August 15, the Covid vaccination process will come to an end in Assam.
Health Minister Keshav Mahanta said, "The Covid situation in Assam has been improving. New Covid SOP will be issued after June 15 regarding the Covid-19 restrictions in the state."
Moreover, the Health Minister also informed that CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will address on the present Covid situation in Assam tomorrow where he will talk about the month-long Covid record in the state.
As per the latest Covid updates in Assam, the state have recorded a total of 4,42,694 positive cases so far with 49,158 active cases, 3,88,451 discharged and 3,738 deaths till date. The state has also reported 3,948 fresh cases, 43 deaths and 3,419 fresh discharges pushing the recovery rate at 87.75 per cent.
