Assam government failed to utilize the proper fund for the development of the state.

According to the report of CAG, the Assam government utilized only 35% of fund for development from the budget.

As per reports, in 2017-18 financial year although Sonowal government projected to utilize Rs 99,453.19 crore, but they could not reach the target. The formula used by BJP government "A for Assam" results nothing in reality.

The government even failed to earn revenue also. In 2018-19 financial year as they had targeted to earn revenue upto Rs 1,02,096.84 crore, but they earned Rs 47,153.29 crore only.

The report says that the sanction amounts of central government to Assam also reduced after PM Modi led BJP government came to power in Delhi.
